Marieta the Doll
Marieta was a beautiful doll, not as its physical aspect it had neither big golden ringlets, nor either eyes green sea, but it had an immense smile. This was its beauty. It was as if, on having done it, someone had put everything good that has a human heart. When you were looking at it he was inviting you to smile; that's why it was the doll most wanted in that house and it was occupying a preference place in the room of the children.
There were there other dolls, most valuable someone and also thousand games, but for more and more toys that they were buying to them, Marieta, it was always staying in the place where they all could see it.
The children of the house were already not so children, or perhaps they it had never been. They were good boys but they were never playing. Perhaps for it, that room of game where he was living through Marieta was always clean and tidy, although the laughs of a few children were lacked.
Only Marieta, was going down its shelf some time, although it was always to steam up some tear to listen patiently how that sad carita was telling him its sorrow. When they they were placing in its place the bitterness again it had already disappeared, although sometimes it was late hours in happening. Nevertheless the doll was feeling happy and proud; none of the dolls either of that the room, or so even most valuable, had given so much support and fondness like she. None was capable of waking up a smile like when she was looking at that sad carita and was smiling as only she could do it.
This way there spent many years, so many people that Marieta either he was beginning being sorry that one to spend of the time in its curled hairs something either faded, in its pink color already m ore whitish and in its past fashionable garments. Nevertheless there was something that was continuing inalterably; its immense smile, this smile that was doing the most beautiful of the dolls. One day a boy entered the room, between child and adult, and it took Marieta. The aspect of the doll did grace to him, and he looked meanwhile for utensil something that was serving to change it of outfit. It placed a big red bond between its curls, and changed its garment and when to point it was of seeing its work finished brought in a niñita shouting. The boy stretched the doll and the girl laughed. That evening Marieta spent it in big; they rose to the small horses, spoke with the clown, and laughed Marieta remained surprised: magnificent what was the world that existed out of that room and, what big age the sun and all that the stars were shining. su sonrisa inmensa, esa sonrisa que la hacía la más bella de las muñecas.
To the dusk exhausted, Marieta and the girl returned to the house. There were waiting the adults who bought it about already so many years and the children who it were already not but who for Marieta it would always be: Suddenly a big fuss armed itself; the poor doll was not even finding out about what was what it was spending, only he felt a big pain when they started him of the arm of the girl and destroying the red bond and its new garment they placed it again with its everlasting suits in that privileged place of the shelves, Marieta wanted to forgive that attitude produced undoubtedly by the worry, at least that is what the poor doll repeated it repeatedly along everything noche:e ra the most dear doll and undoubtedly they lacked it. The days happened and Marieta stayed in its shelves. Of course every day they were lowering it and they him were dusting with beauty, were stretching its suit and were entertaining him with some beautiful compliment. Nevertheless, Marieta was lacking that girl who had taught him the world, which it had reminded him that was a doll and that it had to be the center of a life of games and not be in a dark room, still clean and tidy. Without realizing, Marieta was losing little by little its smile and when that evening its small proprietor entered between sobs the room to look for consolation in the doll, saw as from the Marieta eyes a small tear was sprouting. The doll strained in smiling but its smile was already not immense, it was sad and given up. And its tears were not a fruit of its sorrow for not being able to play with that girl and go out to see the world; no, its tears were meaning powerlessness, the whole powerlessness that Marieta was feeling because he might never already make to smile again at anybody. And it was like that, how that beautiful doll, it it stopped being and only the doll was one more doll, of course, with the saddest eyes of all that they had been seen.

All the doll rotates in the big shelves of the life. Mothers, sisters, wives, fiancées, lovers. Toy broken for and for nothing. And nevertheless with the ruined soul they can still outline a smile and a tear Cuanto juguete roto para y por nada.
Dumb reflections of a lady.
A kiss and a warm hug
